Redlands Primary School has been working hard over the last few months being leaders throughout the week to the younger year groups. These are a few of their comments about their role as a leader;

When I was picked to be a Sports Leader for my school, I was very excited about it. I worked with Daniel, Mark, Bradley and George. They helped me to sort the equipment and organize the games. We separated into teams, so that we could do 2 games at 1 time. The games were handball and catch ball. I enjoy playing all sports myself and feel I can encourage others to do the same and they will feel better in themselves.

I was really happy to be picked and proud that the school could see me as a leader to others, I do feel confident with something I am good at and think others will as well when I show them.

I fell I work well in a team and can show them how to play the games and understand the rules and most of all enjoying it even though it can get a bit competitive!!

Sports keep you fit and healthy and help you make lots of new friends at the same time so I would encourage anyone to try it out!

I loved being a sports leader; I loved the activities that we did for example newcombe, hand ball, hulahuping and rounders. It was hard because the little children were not listening. I loved the opportunity in me getting a chance to be a sports leader thank you.

I really enjoy being a sports leader because I get to help a lot of children and teach them different games. I also like helping the children play games and helping them when they can't do something like hit the ball in rounders or they can't catch the ball in newcombe. But the best bit about being a sports leader is looking after the little ones and meeting people around the school that you don't already know.
