Yr 5 /6 Athletics: Friday 6th June

Participating Schools: Norbridge, Sir Edmund Hillary, Redlands, Prospect Juniors.

 

120 pupils from the Valley family took part in this event which was held at Mount St.Mary’s Stadium. The festival was led by CSLA and HSLA students from the Worksop post 16 centre and the pupils experienced a variety of athletics based events and worked as teams which combined pupils from each school. The team atmosphere was fantastic and it was great to see pupils from the different schools working together and encouraging each other to do their best.

 

KS1 Multi Skills: Friday 13th June

 

Participating Schools: Prospect Infants, Redlands, Sir Edmund Hillary, Norbridge

 

Almost 160 KS1 pupils took part in this event which was planned and run by the Yr 10 Level One Sports Leaders from Valley School. The leaders had been planning the event and designing their own multi skills activities in their leadership lessons which had a focus on developing agility, balance and coordination. The event was a real success and all the pupils involved had a great time and experienced a variety of different activity stations as well as working in teams with pupils from other schools.

 

Yr 3 /4 Multi Sports: Friday 20th June

 

Participating Schools: Norbridge, St.Johns, Redlands, Sir Edmund Hillary

 

120 pupils took part in a range of sporting activities which included tag rugby, tri golf, rounders, cricket, relay and football. The sessions were led by CSLA students from the Worksop Post 16 centre and all the pupils rotated around to experience a total of 10 different sports. Each school was also presented with a bag of tag rugby equipment at the end of the afternoon. The pupils involved worked really hard on each activity and were worn out by the end of the afternoon!!
