Visit to watch Sheffield Sharks v London United

On Friday 26^th January 83 parents and children went to the English Institute of Sport at Sheffield to watch the Sheffield Sharks play London United at basketball. All the parents and children had a great time watching the sharks win very convincingly. Members of the sharks organisation were extremely appreciative at the number of people who attended the game. The school’s name was announced during the game and had a warm welcome by the crowd. Children were encouraged to take part in the shooting contested at half time. Mr Osborne fulfilled his dream of actually hitting a shot in front of the crowd but he failed to make it past the second round.

At the end of the game children were allowed to go onto the court to get autographs from the players and head coach. It is hoped that the trip will make the children interested in sport and take the opportunities to take up a sport at All Saints’ school.
